​​Mitchell Residential Solutions is a small but growing agency with specialized focus on the needs and well-being of Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With over 40 years of combined experience working with the special needs community, our staff and Sponsors provide dedicated and tailored care to those requiring our service.  

Mitchell Residential Solutions believes in keeping Individuals in the community, so that society will learn to look past any disability and realize that every Individual contributes to the world in their own unique way.  Our Individuals stay active depending on their ability and attend day support, work and events like special olympics.

Our staff of experienced sponsors are regularly trained to ensure the needs and safety of the Individuals come first.

Mitchell Residential Solutions is licensed by the Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services to provide residential living solutions to those with intellectual disabilities.

Skill Building
  • Learn responsibility

  • Increase level of independence

  • Learn to advocate for one’s self

  • Increase mobility and activity in the community

  • Learn leisure activities like gardening, games, etc

  • Increase social and communication skills to the best of their ability

  • Assist to develop age appropriate activities and behaviors

  • Assist them in developing friendships and relationships with others

  • Special Olympics participation

  • Vacations & weekend trips

  • Assistance navigating the community (community safety, interaction, shopping, eating out, etc)

  • Attend sporting /other community events, bowling, movies, etc

Personal Assistance
  • Personal hygiene

  • Meal preparation

  • Medication administration

  • Assistance with their household chores such as doing their laundry, cleaning their personal area, etc

  • Transportation as needed to medical appointments, community functions, work, day support, etc

Staff Certification and Qualifications
  • CPR &  First Aid

  • Medication Administration certification

  • Successfully passed the Orientation for Direct Support Professional exam

  • Behavior Management (TOVA) training

  • Safety Management

  • Communication Skills

  • Successfully passed a Criminal Background check

  • Successfully passed the Department of Social Services Investigation

  • Continuous & ongoing training & re-certifications
